Derek Michael Brown, or "Dek", has been a part of the professional video production industry since 2009.  After graduating from the Prestigious Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, Derek went on to work for the prominent New York City post-house Nitrous Ltd.  There he fine tuned his trade, edited countless promos, commercials, and other videos for a wide variety of networks and clients including HBO, A&E, ESPN, NFL Network, Lincoln Motor Co., and many more.

After moving on from Nitrous in 2016, Derek became the Supervising Editor and Colorist at the powerhouse content studio, Malka. Leading a team of talented editors, Derek has written, edited, and produced work for countless more brands and clients including Showtime, Brooks Brothers, L'Oréal, W.B. Mason, and many more.

 After only 2 years, Derek was promoted to Post Production Supervisor for the the entire bi-coastal content studio, Malka. In this position, he has been running the Post Production for over 100+ Creative Professionals, while still creating content of us own.
